Experience

Doris Miranda is the Coordinating Counsel at González & Coiscou's Litigation Group Practice. Before joining the Firm, Ms. Miranda worked at various levels of the judiciary and legislative organs of the Dominican Republic.

Practice Areas

Ms. Miranda has focused her practice in Civil and Commercial Law, Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Maritime Law, Contracts and Tax Law, among others.

Likewise, Ms. Miranda has been responsible for managing and developing projects of interest to the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) for the purpose of designing reports that reflect the performance of the courts of the Dominican Republic, through the coordination of the Directorate of Public Policies of the SCJ. She has also been responsible for maintaining a direct link between the Congress and the SCJ allowing the Directorate of Public Policies of the SCJ to study the drafts of legislations affecting the judiciary and assisting in the preparation of reports to the Permanent Comittees in issues that concern the judiciary system. In addition to this, Ms. Miranda worked as a legislative assistant in the Congress of the Dominican Republic, gaining extensive knowledge of the legislative work.

Education

Ms. Miranda is a member of the Dominican Bar Association. She graduated of the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Faculty of Law and Political Science, receiving the academic title of Bachelor of Law in 2007. Ms. Miranda is a specialist in economic analysis of law and public policy from the University of Salamanca, Spain (2009).

Additionally, she has done various courses in her areas of practice, especially on Commercial Law, Civil Law and Procedure.
